A Man Called Stranger

It all starts soon. A spacer. Corporate dystopia. Cyberpunk mayhem. And a conspiracy that will be the end of it all.

CITY BUSINESS, the pilot prologue of A Man Called Stranger. In the depths of S.E.T. City is a man, a stranger for sure, but really just a lost spacer. With little memory and even less money, another day turns quickly into... the beginning.

Having bitten off a bit more than he can chew, and now on the run from either cops or private security, our lost spacer turns to his last option for help. He'll take whatever he can find because as he's slowly coming to find out, he truly is a stranger in this city.

With the realization that they have stumbled into something they shouldn't have, Stranger, Cupid, and Packet Tracer are now in over their heads and must get to the bottom of it, not because it may or may not be the right thing to do, but because no one else is going to clear their names... and maybe, just maybe, they can still get paid.

It all comes to a head as the puzzle pieces fall into place when allegiances are revealed, bonds are forged and details are rewritten to be their corporate best. As the pilot prologue of A Man Called Stranger ends, a new beginning for some starts.

The prologue CITY BUSINESS might have left S.E.T. City with dead politicians, many dead gangers, and a few dead cops, but A Man Called Stranger is very much alive and the story is just getting started. Season 1: BLACK COLLAR, coming January 2024.

A MAN CALLED STRANGER, is still recovering from the series of unfortunate incidents that was 'City Business' with a breaking cyber-arm, tricky magic, and still finding himself broke with little opportunity to remedy the situation. Having to take any job that comes his way to afford some Breakfast Bourbon, he and his new contacts are roped into their first proper case together; a woman has seemingly gone missing from the Underground, and this new client wants her found, at all costs. but much to Stranger's chagrin, there's always more once you get into the muck.

While the previous night might have been a bust (through a window), Stranger has a new job that's (hopefully) not a divorce case this time. But between the shady clientele and sketchy job details, unfortunately for Stranger, he's not the only one on the hunt, and he might not actually know what the prey is.

With the search getting increasingly complicated with every step he takes, Stranger is out of his depth and seeks out help from the denizens of S.E.T, but with the puzzle pieces falling into place, it's not painting the picture he prefers.

Stranger is hit with new faces, old faces, and in his own face as the pieces of this job start to fall around him. Leaving him with more questions than he prefers, and a concern for his well-being that's setting off alarm bells in his mind and across the city. As another job draws to a close, so does Act 1 of Black Collar.
